1. Identify Hinge Clip Style

The hinge clip is the plastic scissor clip that swivels up and down underneath the keyboard key cap. It is usually either black or white and functions as the part that holds the back of he key to the keyboard.

Manufacturers often use different keyboard vendors during production and each vendor has its own unique type of hinge clip. Compare the chart and identify the version that matches. You will fill this info in Step 2 above.

Hinge Clips are not Universal so if your hinge clip does not match, please Contact Us for help.

Below is an actual picture of the keyboard. Please confirm that the layout matches as well as the language.

NOTE:The default color of the keyboard we show is black. If your model comes in different colors and we have it in stock, it will be available in the color section above.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Our standard keyboard layout is QWERTY (shown below). If you have a different language layout the key cap and hinge clips are still interchangeable. If the key cap shape does not match or you require a different language layout please contact us before ordering.

The product arrived in good conditions and worked just fine to replace a key on my laptop. I am just giving it 4 stars because it took ages to arrive. I paid for it to arrive in 2 weeks and it took about 2 months.

I’ve been looking to repair my missing key for a while but with covid going my I was unable to go to the Apple store. Did some online research found this site and the directions on replacing the key was clear and simple. Packaging was perfect and cared for. After breaking my Tab key several months ago, I had to press directly onto the metal contact whenever I wanted to use the key, and it sucked. I bought a key from this website and installation was super-easy. And now my keyboard is as good as new! Thanks!

I had spent hours trying to get my laptop key that popped off back on, watched YouTube videos and everything and it wouldn’t go back on. One small piece in the clip was chipped so I ordered a new one-so much cheaper than Apple telling me a need a whole new keyboard for $250!! The piece arrived earlier than estimated, the plastic piece was already scissored and I had it popped in seconds after opening the package. Couldn’t be more pleased!

The item I ordered was perfect, took less than a minute to replace, my problem is with customer service, I emailed them several times ( wanted to be sure item was correct piece), however no one replied to me until after the piece arrived.
