1. Identify Hinge Clip Style
The hinge clip is the plastic scissor clip that swivels up and down underneath the keyboard key cap. It is usually either black or white and functions as the part that holds the back of he key to the keyboard.
Manufacturers often use different keyboard vendors during production and each vendor has its own unique type of hinge clip. Compare the chart and identify the version that matches. You will fill this info in Step 2 above.

Actually a Good Buy
If you review the information and picture of product carefully, you will receive the right key in a timely fashion. All the bad review almost deterred me. I was very apprehensive about purchasing from here but I was desperate and was willing to risk the $14 on a "C" key and faster shipping. It got here so fast and it actually fit. You just have to make sure it is the right laptop model, the right letter font, and the right hinge. I had to be super careful because my specific model was not available but under the HP Pavillion 15 category, I was able to find a key similar to mine. Just be diligent in your choosing and look at the pictures, The Font of the key and the hinge. The color of the hinge doesn't matter. Choose the right frame. If you do this you will be satifies with your purchase.
