This is a 100% OEM HP Probook 4540s Laptop key Replacement, and will offer Perfect Fit and Finish.  We have discovered there seems to be 3 different versions of this keyboard, the hinge clip (plastic clip under the key cap) vary in each version, please compare your hinge clip to the following versions below, you will need this info in STEP 2.

HINT: HC29 and HC40 the hinge clips are basically opposite of each other, HC29 Has the metal prongs at the bottom that are wide apart at the bottom versus HC40 with the top prongs wider apart.

The hinge clip is the plastic scissor clip that swivels up and down underneath the keyboard key cap. It is usually either black or white and functions as the part that holds the back of he key to the keyboard.

Manufacturers often use different keyboard vendors during production and each vendor has its own unique type of hinge clip. Compare the chart and identify the version that matches. You will fill this info in Step 2 above.
