1. Identify Hinge Clip Style

The hinge clip is the plastic scissor clip that swivels up and down underneath the keyboard key cap. It is usually either black or white and functions as the part that holds the back of he key to the keyboard.

Manufacturers often use different keyboard vendors during production and each vendor has its own unique type of hinge clip. Compare the chart and identify the version that matches. You will fill this info in Step 2 above.

Hinge Clips are not Universal so if your hinge clip does not match, please Contact Us for help.

2. Confirm Keyboard Layout and Language

Below is an actual picture of the keyboard. Please confirm that the layout matches as well as the language.

NOTE:The default color of the keyboard we show is black. If your model comes in different colors and we have it in stock, it will be available in the color section above.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Our standard keyboard layout is QWERTY (shown below). If you have a different language layout the key cap and hinge clips are still interchangeable. If the key cap shape does not match or you require a different language layout please contact us before ordering.

Initially I ordered the Y key and I got it pretty fast then I ordered my R key later because my rescue cats love to be on my computer and they ripped open the R key. Now I paid for express shipping for the R key and it took about three weeks to get that key whereas when I bought the Y key and I did not pay for any express shipping it got in about the same amount of time. I like the fact that I was able to pick out my product and figure out which um I 07 item I needed or if it was an IO6 or not for my particular keyboard I like the fact that there was tutorials but I'll figure out what is what and it was very easy to install both of the items back onto my keyboard took less than two seconds! Now if you wanted to get this try to consider not getting the express shipping cause you're not gonna get it in an express way you're not gonna get it as fast as you think if you pay for express but I got the quality key it looked brand new everything looked untouched high quality and I'm very happy I would return again but I will not pay for express shipping in the future

I bought 5 keys, they fit perfectly and are transparent like the original ones. I spent $40 overall, and shipping wasn't too bad, I got a conformation email that they shipped a day or two later. Definitely should have gone this route first, instead of trying to buy a keyboard off ebay. The ebay keyboard required that I take out ALL the components, and re-solder the board just to replace a couple of keys (ebay board keys were different and could not pop off to replace the original keys due to how the laptop is setup. Also the ebay board costed me $50). Make sure to look at your keys on your board before you order some to make sure you order the right ones.

The replacement key was indistinguishable from the original. The actual replacement process was fairly simple and went smoothly. The key looks and functions perfectly.
