Apple used different butterfly keyboard generations. These replacement keys use the second-generation butterfly mechanism found on compatible Late 2016–2018 MacBook Pro models. First-generation butterfly keycaps and hinge clips have different dimensions and attachment points and will not fit correctly.

Works great, easy install. Arrived quick.

Good
If you have to replace the entire mechanism, including the metal plate, it will not completely fix the issue but it’s better than nothing. Nevertheless, in order to keep the plate in place, I used 4 pieces of electronics double-sides tape and it seems to not wobble or detach. Without the tape, the key fits in nicely but it wobbles quite a lot and it doesn’t register key strokes at the sides.

I ordered it from South Korea. It takes 2~3 weeks to arrive including a long customs process in the airport I guess. The original Cup was tightly attached than I expected so be careful when you pull it out first. The product itself is great and it expands my Mac book's life for more than 2 years!

Worked well
I ended up only needing a keycap. It matches well and I don't notice a difference anymore. It was, however, difficult to figure out how I would have replaced the full key with the "spring" part if I needed to do that.

Perfect Replacement for the 2019 MacBook Pro
Keys and switches were an absolute perfect match. Fixed 3 keys that got debris caught under them breaking the tabs that held the caps in place. 10 minute repair saved me a whole lot of headache dealing with Apple warranty repair and losing use of the machine in the process. Once installed you literally cannot tell which keys are original and which are the replacements by look or feel.
